I observe a Sabbath and I was in a bus which took me to church and this topic just crossed my mind. It’s been a topic I have been having my my very good friend and a topic of interest even from what I have read in comments in social spaces and platforms like YouTube. Living within means.
Indeed everything is expensive nowadays and we want to make enough income to meet the demands of the daily which are costly and have security cash for unplanned for costs that come up randomly.
Looking at most people they live for the material and eye (attention) meaning the social media lifestyle and need to show off these luxurious things. Unfortunately they end up spending more than they earn. It’s popular with celebrities, influencers, public figures and unfortunately this trend has found it’s way to normal people including the working class and business persons.
I live with and exposed to all classes, backgrounds, race and cultures. What I have found common especially within the most happy and free people are those who live the most simple way and they happen to be the so called humble background people or people from low income backgrounds. Why is it that? these people focus on making sure they spend smartly, and are able to live within what they make.
It’s very simple Budget, spend smartly, make use of sales, spoil yourself smartly and never go beyond what you make intentionally. This excludes unforeseen circumstances that we come across making us incur debts or costs.
If you don’t have surplus in whatever income you make you can’t get away as those who do and invest it. Surplus may create source of income ( with interest) enabling them to spend without feeling a dent and most importantly save since they take most money from Surplus generated income. In simple you can spend surplus and it’s gone or invest it and make more money via it and spend some of the interest.
When it comes to business, both online and offline, please start small within what you can afford. We have different packages in terms of platforms we use to generate income and I know we are often told to go big or go home, but how realistic is that for many. Being calculative and planning growth in your hustle or business is important. Don’t wait for a miracle to go straight into the millions, You will reap fruits with gradual growth by starting small with what is feasible.
Remember that this post is not to influence you to settle for less but merely opens your mind to be able to take reasonable steps to try and live within what you make while you work your way up. No matter what stage you are at, Again let me emphasize this Avoid Spending more than you make.
